This module is designed to equip learners with knowledge of female anatomy and physiology to enable him/her to manage the expectant mother and family. It is also intended to equip the student with the knowledge and management of physiological processes of labour, delivery, puerperium, immediate examination of the new born and breastfeeding. Besides, this module enables the learner to utilize knowledge and skills gained to plan and implement safe and effective care of the mother and the neonate.
