The term business refers to “all kinds of profit-making activity excluding the performance of services for another in an employment relationship” and business law may be defined as the rules that govern business relationships. It is relevant for everyone that has to deal with the business and in whatever quality to know the legal environment in which business operates. This module is intended to introduce students to the business legal environment by discussing such topics as company law with a comparison with cooperative and other business organizations, negotiable instruments, insolvency law, and insurance law.
