This course is intended for students who have already acquired knowledge on basic concepts and principles of computer networks. It aims at providing an in-depth understanding of technical considerations for network design and network management.

In this course, students will learn how to effectively plan, design and implement computer networks. They will also learn how to strategically manage these networks. Equipment, tools and techniques will be grouped into three units: Network Planning and Design, Network Management and Monitoring, and Network Security. Configuration of CISCO network equipment like routers, switches and firewall will be covered. Concepts of Site-to-Site VPNs and Remote site VPNs will also be covered.
