This course introduces the student to the basic theory and practice of procurement. It will describe the evolution
of procurement, different types of procurement, methods of procurement, factors affecting procurement
management, procurement process including procurement plan, bidding procedures, contract management,
ethics in procurement management and finally introduction to supply chain and inventory management. Field trip
or public lectures will help students to understand the course in a practical manner.
